A Community Film Festival Begins Tomorrow

The hardworking folks at the Multicultural Cinema Club are priming up for yet another film festival. Here’s all the info from the MCC’s own press release. Feast your eyes…

The Multicultural Cinema Club @ The Working Centre is presenting its 16th community film festival at The Registry Theatre next week Tuesday through Friday evening starting at 7 pm. As always, everyone is welcome and there is no charge for admission (pay what you will donations gladly accepted).

The program consists of four award-winning international films selected with the theme of Congress 2012 of the Humanities & Social Sciences (May 26 – June 2 at U of W and WLU) in mind: Crossroads – Scholarship for an Uncertain World.

The lineup:

Tue 29 May: The Lives of Others  Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, Germany 2005

Wed 30 May: Project Nim James Marsh, U.S.A. 2011

Thu 31 May: Blackboards Samira Makhmalbaf, Iran 2000

Fri 1 June: Poetry Chang-dong Lee, South Korea 2010
